Looking to add a new piece to your party favor collection? Look no further than the Stundenglass gravity hookah. Below you’ll find all the pros and cons it has to offer and see for yourself why Seth Rogen and many other 420-friendly celebs swear by it.

What is the Stundenglass gravity hookah?

Stundenglass translates to “hourglass” in Germany, which is where these little beauties were first developed. It was first designed by the heads at Grenco Sciences, who wanted to bring something creative and new to the industry. Their gravity hookah, shaped like an hourglass, checks all the boxes. The Stundenglass gravity hookahs are made of a thick, borosillicate glass and aircraft-grade anodized aluminum, making it the perfect choice for rallying with friends without running the risk of extreme breakage.

How do you use the Stündenglass gravity hookah?

It uses kinetic energy and gravity like a standard gravity bong to produce massive bong rips that you can share with several friends. To use it, you simply pack your flower, spark it up, and rotate the hookah so that the water drips from one chamber to the other, pulling smoke into the emptying chamber. From there, you can hit it, pass it, and enjoy.

Why we love the Stundenglass gravity bong

Traditional gravity bong setups are as basic as an empty jug and a bucket of water. While those will for sure do you in a pinch, the Stundenglass gravity hookah took that concept and made it better in practically every way you can imagine. They ditched plastic for heavy-duty glass and strong, lightweight aluminum that looks classy and elegant in any situation. However, the design features a sturdy base that isn’t very easy to knock over, so it’s excellent for sharing and for the accident prone. More importantly though, it features much better smoke filtration and cooling with the use of percolators built into the device for extremely cool, flavorful hits in larger clouds.

We also really love that it offers a contact less smoke delivery system for concentrates, flower, and hookah. Without a mouthpiece, it blows right out of the device which is perfect for sharing and hot boxing. However, it comes with interchangeable mouthpieces so you can hit it right from the base or attach the magnetic hookah hose, which features a glass mouthpiece for sharing or kicking back and lounging while you toke. On the bowl side, the device is compatible with 14mm adapters so you can utilize your own attachments and filter the smoke or customize your device even more.

Last but not least, these little beauties come with a 10 year warranty. They’re super easy to use and clean, and the parts are interchangeable in the case of an accidental break or if you’re just looking to customize your session in a more meaningful way. While the price tag is a bit hefty at $600, it’ll be the first and last gravity bong you ever buy, so it comes highly recommended.

A few minor complaints

Our only real complaint about the Stundenglass Gravity Hookah is that it doesn’t come with the separate attachment for vaporizing concentrates. Out of the box it’s ready to go for hookah and flower, but if you’re looking for a piece that can do everything, it might be a little disappointing to have to purchase the concentrate attachment separately. Furthermore, there’s no temperature control, so it comes with a bit of a learning curve. That said, it’s still kind of a silly thing to complain about. The device itself is perfect for the most part.

At the end of the day, Stundenglass gravity hookahs are visually appealing art pieces that are engineered for smooth hits and fun social experiences. Since you can use them for weed, dabs, and hookah, there’s a ton to love about them. Even though they don’t offer a way to control your temperatures and are on the pricier end of things, they’re still so versatile, interchangeable, and unique that the pros definitely outweigh the cons. We love ours, and we think you’ll love yours too.
