Smelly Proof

Smelly Proof is a big name in the storage section of marijuana business. They were the first company to really brand bags with odor elimination. Because they have such a colossal niche among weed storage containers just had to review them.

Looks and Design

In terms of looks Smelly Proof Bags just rocks a normal Ziploc bag design. This would be great in terms of being discreet, but the giant green logo makes it a little more obvious what it is you’ll be keeping inside. If Smelly Proof ever did gain huge notoriety it’d actually make their product less useful; they’d be better going with a smaller, let obtrusive design. It’d be nice if the bag was colored rather than transparent, as well, but perhaps that’s just us being picky.

Functionality

Smelly Proof Bags do a great job of eliminating odors for us humans. Unfortunately, the bags don’t work on dogs. More specifically, they don’t work on K-9 units. There are just too many reports of the bags being detected by police dogs to make them a must-have. We’ve talked before about great marijuana deodorizer bags before, so the Smelly Proof Bag really didn’t impress us.

The Kit

According to their website, prices for a single bag start at $4.99 and go up to $24.99 according to size, along with box deals.

The Verdict

As cheap as they are, Smelly Proof Bags just aren’t worth it. They’re more conspicuous and less effective than other bags on the market, making them an unwise choice for anyone actually wanting to be discreet. The only positive here is that one bag is very inexpensive, so in an emergency it might be of use. Otherwise this wouldn’t even be a 2/5 rating.
